Tolkamer, 12/3/2018 – Around 14 pm today, the 135 meter river cruise vessel ‘Amadeus Queen’ performed her river trials with success. This vessel, our yard number 487, is the latest addition to the Amadeus fleet from Lueftner Cruises. Each new Amadeus vessel has made a step towards the future and the Amadeus Queen also is a special edition, as again many innovations and new features have been implemented in this design. Both the lay-out and design where further optimised and also from a technical point of view, new steps were taken to ensure a higher level of comfort on-board.
Tolkamer, 12/3/2018 – In the early morning, 6 AM today, the first tug of the new ASD design sailed away from the Lobith-yard. The ship went on its way Rotterdam, where she shall perform her sea trials and other relevant tests, such as the bollard pull test. This brand new design is built to special wishes and requirements, now she has to proof herself. In the meantime the second ASD tug is in an advanced stage of construction already.
Tolkamer, 10/3/2018 – This morning, yard number 483 was launched. With this, all four hulls for the ASD tugboat-design for Caspian Offshore Constructions are now in the water. Prior to the launching of this hull, there was a special transport, supported by ‘Sarens’ of this 300 ton weighing hull. This was related to the extremely high water at the beginning of the year. When the Lobith slipways where threatened to be flooded, the yard decided to continue the assemble of the hull on higher grounds. With special section lorries, the hull for yard number 438 was lowered to the slipway doors and hoisted over with a large floating crane, quite a logistic operation, but it was successful. Now all four ASD-design hulls for COC are in the water and nearing the final stages of their build & finishing.
Foxhol, 4/3/2018 – On the Foxhol yard, the two harbour tugboats for C.O.C. (Caspian Offshore Constructions) are really taking shape now. Both hulls are fully assembled and outfitting works are starting, even the main engines have already been placed. Here the hulls will be finished inside the halls as much as possible, before they are launched. Both are scheduled for delivery before the end of May.
Rotterdam, 3/3/2018 – Today the third hull has been launched for C.O.C.. The hull was built in Rotterdam and towed to our Lobith yard where she will be finished. These are busy times in Lobith, as now in total there are 5 ships in the last stage of construction, 4 ASD tugs for C.O.C. and of course the 135 meter river cruise vessel Amadeus Queen.
Tolkamer, 27/12/2017 – Today, at 13hr PM the hull for Amadeus Queen, our yard number 487 was successfully launched at our yard in Tolkamer. The delivery is scheduled for 1st quarter of next year.
Rotterdam, 18/12/2017 – Today hull number 482 has been launched. This is the hull for the second vessel in a six-ship order from Caspian Offshore Constructions from Kazakhstan. The hull is now in Lobith where she will be installed and finished. With two hulls launched and the other four in advanced stage of construction, the project is well on its way.
Tolkamer 13/12/2017 – This afternoon at 13 PM, the keel of our yard number 488 – the expedition cruise vessel ‘Celebrity Flora’ – has been placed on the slipway. The ceremonial keel laying was, as is the tradition, accompanied by placing some coins underneath the keel, this is done to bless the ship and as a symbol of good fortune. In the coming year the section blocks will be placed and assembled on our slipway thus realising the hull and making it ready for launching. We look forward to the exciting experience of seeing this vessel’s hull being realised on our yard’s slipway.
Rotterdam, 8/12/2017 – Today the hull for the first tugboat for Caspian Offshore Constructions, our yard number 481, was launched in Rotterdam at 11 AM. Briefly after this the hull was transported to the Lobith yard where the equipment, installations, fit out, interior, and finishing shall be done. The second hull is scheduled to be launched within the next weeks.
Tolkamer 17/11/2017 – This morning at 10AM the client’s flag was raised for the design and build of a spectacular expedition cruise vessel. The vessel, to be inaugurated in May 2019, shall be built at the Lobith yard under yard number 488. It is a specialised design for the Galapagos islands which has been designed and developed in close cooperation with the client, Celebrity Cruises. Besides state of art and eco-friendly technology, the vessel shall have the largest and most luxurious accommodations in the Galapagos Islands. In total eight decks will have a wide selection of spaces for in total 100 passengers. Tolkamer 26/09/2017 – Today a Cape Verdian delegation, with mayors from various islands, port authorities as well as chamber of commerce visited Shipyard De Hoop. Various presentations were held and we are proud to have been visited by such honored guests.
Tolkamer, Juli 2017 – Shipyard De Hoop is proud to announce the order for the build of 6 tugboats, for their client Caspian Offshore Constructions (COC).
In an earlier stage De Hoop already received an engineering order to start the design. Now, the job will consist of building four Ice class Azimuth Stern Drive tug-push boats, each 39-ton bollard pull. Additionally, two shallow draft harbour tugs, each 30-ton bollard pull, were designed and shall be built.
These six vessels are developed for Blue Water and COC consortium. The relation between COC and de Hoop dates back to 2006 and De Hoop is proud in the continuation of this relationship.
Tolkamer, 14/6/2017 – With over 50% of her section blocks assembled, the hull construction of the next vessel for Lüftner Cruises, is well on its way. The ship is being build under yard number 487 and will be an 135 design with very special features.
Tolkamer 16/05/2017 – Today a special visit was paid by the Minister of Transport and Communications from Mozambique, Mr Carlos Alberto Fortes Mesquita. The Minister is in the Netherlands as part of the official visit of the President of the Republic of Mozambique, at the invitation of the King Willem Alexander, which will take place starting tomorrow. De Hoop was proud to present the various new build projects it is currently involved in.
Tolkamer 03/05/2017 – Today at 2 p.m., the first section of the 135 meter luxury new build passenger vessel ‘Amadeus Queen’ for the Austrian company Lüftner Cruises was placed on the slibway. The Amadeus Queen is the 14th passenger vessel De Hoop Lobith is building for Lüftner Cruises.
Vienne, 12/4/2017 – Yesterday, our latest newbuild vessel for Lüftner Cruises, the Amadeus Provence was Christened in Vienne, France. Nearly 200 guest witnessed the ceremony on the river Seine, whereupon they watched hundreds of red, white and blue balloons released into the sky.
The Amadeus Provence is a 110 meter river cruise vessel, outfitted with e.g. 62 staterooms and 8 suites for a total of 140 passengers, an outside lounge area and an infinity pool.
Eemshaven, 31/3/2017 – This morning, at 08.30 AM, the ESNAAD 230 has finally departed from Eemshaven, on her way to Abu Dhabi. With this, the last vessel in a 10-ship-order, has left the Netherlands.
Tolkamer 17/3/2017 – We are proud to announce the delivery of the latest newbuild, Amadeus Provence. This vessel is a very special 110 meter with 70 cabins for 140 passengers which shall enter service in France for Lüftner Cruises. Besides a focus on fuel efficiency, high comfort through extra low/noise and vibrations, the vessel has a 3-tier aftship allowing space for the thruster/engine-room, a small lounge/club on top as well as a recessed swimming pool and outside lounge area. With this innovation the passengers have a nice outside area, which can also be used on stretches were the top-deck cannot be used (due to passing lower bridges). Furthermore, the vessel as a second innovation; this is the first river cruise vessel in the world which is fitted out with a De Hoop in house-designed A.L.S. (Air Lubrication System) which shall further reduce the fuel consumption, a real world premiere.
Tolkamer 13/3/2017 – Shipyard De Hoop has received a new order from Lüftner Cruises for a 135 meter river cruise vessel, to be delivered for next year season. This vessel will be the 14th order in a long lasting and successful relationship between both companies. With this parties shall continue to make next steps in further developing the cruising concept as was developed for the Amadeus Silver series.
