Lagos, 13/12/2019 – The first ever hybrid special mission vessel DB Abuja has successfully arrived in Nigeria. A delegation of navy and other government officials has welcomed the vessel. Both Shipyard De Hoop and owner Blue Octagon are proud of this important milestone in the Deep Blue development project.
Eemshaven, 12/12/2019 – With the signing of the final protocol, the ship DB Lagos has been successfully delivered. This vessel is the second in a series of two, specially designed and build to monitor and inspect the coastal waters, in this case the national waters of Nigeria.
Foxhol, 25/11/2019 – Early morning today, the DB Lagos, the second specialized inspection and survey vessel for HLSI, has departed from our Foxhol yard. The final stages of completion will take place in the Delfzijl and Eemshaven areas.
Tolkamer 23/11/2019 – With great live music, drinks and various food trucks, Shipyard De Hoop has celebrated her 130st anniversary. Some 700 people attended this event, whereby all disciplines were represented. Tolkamer, 18/11/2019 – The new build project for the innovative event ship for ship-owner Koln Dusseldorfer is taking shape. With 50% of the sections assembled, the steel hull is now half completed. Still many details are being designed and fine-tuned, but the first shapes are starting to show now. The Rhein Galaxie is designed and build to accommodate all kinds of events and parties up to a 1000 people. Delivery is scheduled in May next year.
Foxhol, 15/11/2019 – With the placement of the bow, the hull of the Amadeus Imperial is nearly complete. This luxury river cruise vessel is aimed for launching in December and delivery for the season of next year.
Delfzijl, 18/10/2019 – This week, the Special Mission Vessel (De Hoop’s yard number 457) has successfully completed her sea trials which took place in the North of the Netherlands. The performance of the vessel was above and beyond specification, and with this, the vessel is now ready for delivery, which shall take place next week.
Foxhol, 20/09/2019 – Early this morning, the Special Mission Vessel ‘DB Abuja’ has departed from the yard, on transport to Delfzijl. Here the final stages and the commissioning shall take place. The vessel’s sea trials are planned to commence on the 1st of October.
Rotterdam, 06/09/2019 – In a cheerful celebration, the new event ship for Royal Spido has been named ‘Prinses Amalia’. The actual christening was done by the 3 year old granddaughter of Spido’s director and proud new owner, mr. Leo Blok. The guests and media who joined the ceremony gave very positive feedback on the luxurious interior and innovative designs. Shipyard De Hoop is proud to see the vessel working in the famous port of Rotterdam.
Foxhol, 27/08/2019 – Today the special mission vessel project, two ships under construction for HLSI, was presented and shown to the NIMASA (Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency). The vessels, both part of the Deep Blue project, are now in an advanced stage of construction. In the next months, the delivery shall take place. These very innovative vessels have a three step hybrid propulsion system and various features to be a next generation special mission vessel with a comfortable interior for its crew and operators.
