Tolkamer, 23/07/2020 – Today the classification society Lloyds Register has certified a milestone in the build of yard number 495, this because now 50% of the hull’s section blocks are assembled on De Hoop’s slipway
Tolkamer, 03/07/2020 – The next generation entertainment vessel for KD (Koln Dusseldorfer Reederei) is well on its way. The vessel to be named Rhein Galaxie is designed to host parties and events for up to 1000 people and is currently in the last months of completion. Despite set-backs and some delays due to the Corona/Covid-19 pandemic, the yard was able to continue the build and currently the vessel is being fitted out. In the very near future the initial start-up of the engines is expected which would mark a great milestone. This design has several innovations and the vessel will hopefully sooner rather than later can receive her guests on the Rhein River in Germany.

Tolkamer, 21/5/2020 – Since her successful river trials the last weeks of the Amadeus Imperial were all about getting the vessel finished. In special conditions, following Corona / Covid-19 rules and regulations, the yard workers, suppliers and subcontractors completed their deliveries. Now in a joint effort and close cooperation with the Owner’s crew the Owner delivered items are coming on board. The Amadeus Imperial is the 16th vessel De Hoop was allowed to build for Lueftner Cruises.
Pernis, 20/5/2020 – The Silver Origin, De Hoop’s yard number 489 is now in her final stage, the delivery is being prepared. After the successful sea trials, the vessel was moved to the fit out yard in Pernis and here the final works. Are ongoing. Delivery is expected on short notion now.
Schiedam, 27/04/2020 – This morning at 9AM the Silver Origin, our yard number 489, departed from her fitting out quay in Schiedam to go on sea trials. On this sunny ‘Kings day’ it marks a great milestone for all who participate in this project. The full trial programme is planned to be three days.
Tolkamer, 27/03/2020 – One day after the river trials of the River Imperial, the keel for the next Luftner Cruises project was laid on the slipway. The ‘Amadeus Cara’, Luftner Cruises 16th passenger vessel build by De Hoop is scheduled for delivery in March of next year.
Tolkamer, 26/03/2020 – With the initial river trials the vessel Amadeus Imperial is reaching the final stages of the build. Something positive in these difficult times, as with more limited group of people and all the challenges in today’s world, the team has been able to pull this off. In the next weeks the vessel shall be further finished, with a delivery aimed in April.
Lobith, 24/03/2020 – At 10AM today the Silver Origin, De Hoop’s yard number 489, has departed for her transport to Schiedam. Here the final works shall take place. This includes the assembly of the top deck modules which are pre-build and form deck 7 and 8. These sections can only be placed after the vessel has passed several inland bridges. The Silver Origin is scheduled for sea trials on the 16th April 2020 and delivery shortly thereafter.
Nieuw Lekkerland, 21/02/2020 – On this cold, but sunny morning the beautifully build 85 x 14 meter hull for the next generation event ship Rhein Galaxie was successfully launched from the NMC facilities in Nieuw Lekkerland. We thank the hull builders for this high quality work. Also the launching itself was quite a piece of art, with three floating cranes, which had to lift exactly the same (not in tandem, but in trio) so the hull could be placed carefully in the water. Straight thereafter the towing to the yard in Lobith has started, where the ship with outfitted, the main installation will be installed, and all will be further finished.
Groningen 31/01/2020 – This morning, the Amadeus Imperial has started her first journey. Starting in Foxhol and guided by two tugs she is now cruising the Dutch waterways on her way to our Tolkamer facility where she will be outfitted during the coming weeks.
Tolkamer, 17/01/2020 – Today, the production of the new build passenger-vessel ‘Amadeus Cara’ for the Austrian company ‘Lüftner Cruises’ has started. Next year, the vessel will be travelling on the river Rhine as well as on the river Danube.
Nieuw Lekkerland 16/1/2020 – With the placement of the bow section, the steel hull of yard number 493, Rhein Galaxie has reached its full length. The contours of this next generation event vessel are starting to show now. In the next weeks the assembly of the hull shall be further completed, enabling the vessel to be launched, which is planned in February.
Tolkamer, 30/12/2019 Shipyard de Hoop is proud to announce a new build order from returning customer Lüftner Cruises. The 135 x 11,5 meter 3-decks vessel will be a next ship in the evolutionary development of the Amadeus fleet. The vessel is scheduled for delivery in March of 2021.
Tolkamer 30/12/2019 – On this sunny morning, at 11AM, the hull for Silver Origin was successfully launched at the Lobith yard. In the coming months the vessel shall be further finished. Already the contours of a beautiful vessel are starting to show!
Foxhol, 14/12/2019 – At 11 AM on Saturday the latest addition to the fleet of Lueftner Cruises was successfully launched at De Hoop Foxhol. The vessel – build under yard number 492 – is scheduled for delivery for the coming season. This is the 15th ship De Hoop is building for Lueftner Cruises and again there are innovative features bringing the high standards of the Amadeus fleet to a next level.
Lagos, 13/12/2019 – The first ever hybrid special mission vessel DB Abuja has successfully arrived in Nigeria. A delegation of navy and other government officials has welcomed the vessel. Both Shipyard De Hoop and owner Blue Octagon are proud of this important milestone in the Deep Blue development project.
Eemshaven, 12/12/2019 – With the signing of the final protocol, the ship DB Lagos has been successfully delivered. This vessel is the second in a series of two, specially designed and build to monitor and inspect the coastal waters, in this case the national waters of Nigeria.
Foxhol, 25/11/2019 – Early morning today, the DB Lagos, the second specialized inspection and survey vessel for HLSI, has departed from our Foxhol yard. The final stages of completion will take place in the Delfzijl and Eemshaven areas.
Tolkamer 23/11/2019 – With great live music, drinks and various food trucks, Shipyard De Hoop has celebrated her 130st anniversary. Some 700 people attended this event, whereby all disciplines were represented. Steelworkers, welders, carpenters, painters, electricians, engineers, suppliers, client representatives, bankers, lawyers, politicians, financers and accountants, we thank you all for joining our party!
