Second KISS about to be launched
Foxhol, 28/06/2011 – The second KISS supplier, Caballo Galiceno (our yard number 435) is well on its way. The vessel is planned to be launched on Saturday 9th July.
Special upgrades for YN 434/YN 435
Harlingen, 21/06/2011 – Shipyard De Hoop has received a special variation order for two of their newbuild vessels. This is due to a new large contract which their client have recently secured for these vessels. First of all the names where changed vice versa, which means that yardnumber 434 is now called Don Alfonso (formerly known as Caballo Galiceno) and YN 435 is called Caballo Galiceno (formerly known as Don Alfonso). Furthermore, both vessels shall be upgraded to DPII and with the fitting of tailor made sponsoons the deadweight shall be upgraded to 2450 tons. The Don Alfonso is already in dock at Shipdock Harlingen to undergo these changes and additions. It is expected that the same changes shall be ordered for two KISS suppliers YN 432 Caballo Xanthus and 433 Caballo Genitor. Amadeus Brilliant delivered
Tolkamer, 27/04/2011 – Today was a special event as Amadeus Brilliant was delivered, christened and started her maiden trip with guests in the same day. Crew, invited guests, first passengers and shipyard personell all whitnessed the christening of this 9th vessel for Lueftner Reisen. In her speach, the godmother mrs. Corina Lueftner especially thanked the shipyard personell, subcontractors and suppliers for the beautifull endresult. Yardnumber 434 launched in Foxhol
Foxhol, 22/04/2011 – Today, at 10 AM the platform supply vessel with yardnumber 434 (Caballo Galiceno) was launched at our yard in Foxhol. Amadeus Brilliant performs on trials
Tolkamer, 21/04/2011 – These are busy times for De Hoop, the Amadeus Brilliant is the second vessel performing its trials this week. The Amadeus Brilliant did well, in just over 4 hours all test where passed sucessfully.
RheinFantasie completes trials
Tolkamer, 19/04/2011 – Today the newbuild RheinFantasie for german shipowner KD has sucessfully completed her seatrials. This 85 x 13.5 meter vessel is designed and build to accomodate groups up to a thousand people. For an enlarged photo, please look at the PDF file.
Large crane renovation at De Hoop Lobith
Tolkamer, 08/04/2011 – It is an unusual sight, for the first time in 54 years the large boom of one of the three main shipbuilding cranes of De Hoop Lobith is lifted of for a major overhaul. This lift is part of a complete crane renovation programm whereby the crane structures are renovated and key equipment and rails are renewed. The project is planned to be finished in July this year. Shipyard De Hoop raises flag for large new order
Lobith, 30/03/2011 – Shipyard De Hoop has raised the flag for a large new order. Vantage Deluxe Travel from Boston has effectuated the order for 4 river cruise vessels. Three vessels will be of a brand new 135 design and one vessel will be of a new 110 meter design. The luxury cruise vessels are scheduled to be delivered one in 2012, two in 2013 and one in 2014.
Launching of Rhein Fantasie
Tolkamer, 27/03/2011 – At 13:00 pm today, the special event ship Rhein Fantasie was launched at our yard in Tolkamer. This 85 meter ship, our yardnumber 442, is designed for maximum 1000 persons, it is the smaller (monohull) sister of the (catamaran)RheinEnergie that Shipyard De Hoop has build in 2004.
Shipyard De Hoop delivers the S.S. Antoinette

Foxhol, 21/03/2011 – The first KISS design supplier, 434 Caballo Galiceno, is being assembled on the on the slipway at Shipyard De Hoop Foxhol. The shape of the hull is really starting to be visible.
S.S. Antoinette starts trials
Tolkamer, 5/3/2010 – At 13:00 PM the vessel S.S. Antoinette, our yard number 441, started her first river trials in the vicinity of our yard in Lobith.
YN 442 ” RheinFantasie” under construction
Tolkamer 13/02/2011 – The construction of the special event-ship ” RheinFantasie” is now in full swing. At this moment, more than 50% of all the sections are assembled on the slipway in Lobith-Tolkamer. This special daypassenger vessel is developed for groups up to 1000 people and the innovative design is already getting quite some attention in the media. The construction period is tight as the vessel is already booked for jobs in the second quarter of this year. During this it shall sail the waterways of Germany with on board dinner shows and other events. These are busy times the Lobith yard. Besides the RheinFantasie, the two luxury cruise vessels S.S. Antoinette and the Amadeus Brilliant, as well as DSV Don Daniel are the final stages of their construction.
First KISS supplier coming out
Foxhol, 20/01/2011 – The hull for the offshore supply vessel vessel ‘Caballo Galiceno’ has been transported outside our shipbuilding hall. This is a special occasion as this vessel is the first of a series of four with a complete new design. The so called ‘KISS’ design stands for a high tech next generation supply vessel. The vessel is designed to compete today’s cost effective markets. Please look at the PDF file for some more information. The Caballo Galiceno shall be delivered later this year.
De Hoop Lobith launches 105 meter DSV Don Daniel
Tolkamer, 10/01/2011 – Today at exactly 15:00 pm the 105 meter diving support vessel Don Daniel was launched at the yard in Tolkamer. This was done during a very high water-level in the Rhine river, resulting in a smooth launch. The vessel is now at the fitting out quay at the yard where it shall be finished further. De Hoop Lobith launches S.S. Antoinette
Tolkamer, 30/12/2010 – At 15:00 hours today, Shipyard De Hoop Lobith has launched the 135 meter luxury cruise vessel S.S. Antoinette (yard number 441). Keel laid for daypassenger vessel Yardnumber 442
Lobith, 29/12/2010 – Today the keel is laid for the new designed day passenger vessel which Shipyard De Hoop is building for German shipowner KD. This special vessel with 1000 person capacity vessel is planned for delivery second quarter next year.
Hull for Amadeus Brilliant transported to Lobith
Foxhol, 19/12/10 – The hull for Amadeus Brilliant has departed the Foxhol yard. This special transport is now heading (through the ice) to our Lobith yard where the vessel shall be outfited and finished. This will take place alongside the outfitting of the 135 meter S.S. Antoinette.
De Hoop Foxhol launches Amadeus Brilliant
Foxhol, 18/12/2010 – At 10 AM this morning Shipyard De Hoop Foxhol has launched the hull of the 110 meter river cruise vessel Amadeus Brilliant. This was exactly as per original planning. The vessel, build under hull number 443 is the 9th Amadeus vessel that De Hoop is building for client Luefner Reisen. The hull shall now be transported to the Lobith yard for the outfitting and finishing. Please look at the attached PDF file for an enlarged picture.
Two special hulls under construction in Lobith
Tolkamer, 1/12/2010 – On a snowy slipway in Lobith-Tolkamer, two special hulls are nearing readiness to be launched. On the back, 105 meter hull ‘Don Daniel’ is the 3rd Diving Support Vessel with 250 persons accomodation for Oceanografia. The 135 meter hull on the front is for the ‘River Antoinette’, a very luxury inland cruise vessel. The launch of the River Antoinette (for client Uniworld) is planned before the end of this year. In the meantime the yard is building sections for the newbuild daypassenger vessel for KD which will be assembled on a third slipway.
