| De Hoop delivers SBBA Rotterdam, 13/01/2012 - At 13:00 PM today De Hoop has delivered the 60 person Single Block Barge Accommodation (SBBA) to Global Marine Systems. The SBBA was installed by De Hoop on the semi-submersible seagoing barge formarly known as Smit Anambas. Last week Global Marine has acquired this 130 meter barge and it was renamed 'Cable Enterprise'. The barge will now be towed to the Tyneside yard in the U.K. where the caroussel and other cable lay equipment shall be installed. |

| Racing team 'Shipyard De Hoop' in preparation for Amstel Gold Race Tolkamer 9/1/2012 - The racing cyclists of Shipyard De Hoop are in (heavy) training for the Amstel Gold Race. This newly formed team of twenty enthousiastic racers constists mostly of employees of De Hoop. Furthermore employees of subcontractor and other relations are added to this group. The Amstel Gold Race is known as Holland's toughest race and the people of De Hoop's team shall cycle the 150 kilometer version. We wish them good luck with the preparation. | Special lift for Global Marine Systems Rotterdam 20/12/2011 - Over the last few months De Hoop has designed and build a 60 person / 4-deck SBBA (Single Block Barge Accomodation) for Global Marine Systems. Today a special lift-operation was performed in the Rotterdam harbour as the almost 500 ton weighing SBBA for Global Marine was lifted on the pontoon 'Smit Anambas'. The operation was performed in close cooperation with Dutch firm 'Mammoet' and went succesful. The placement of this fully self supporting accomodation block is part of the conversion of the Smit Anambas into a cale lay vessel for the North Sea. Various components will be installed by De Hoop in Rotterdam,the rest will be installed in the UK in Januari. |

| Caballo Xanthus underway to Mexico North Sea, 15/12/2011 - Last week Shipyard De Hoop has delivered the vessel Caballo Xanthus. This 3rd supplier of the De Hoop's 'KISS-design' is now on its way to Mexico. Upon arrival the final components of a so called 'mud-plant' shall be installed and hereafter te vessel shall commence her contract in the Mexican Gulf. |

| De Hoop Lobith launches 135 meter River Discovery II Tolkamer, 14/12/2011 - Today at 11:00 AM Shipyard De Hoop Lobith has launched the 135 meter river cruise vessel "River Discovery II". This vessel is the first of a serie of three 135m vessels which have been ordered by Vantage Travel from Boston. Furthermore Vantage has a 110 meter vessel on order. | Shipyard De Hoop raises flag for new order Tolkamer, 13/12/2011 - Shipyard De Hoop raises the flag for a new order. Their client Lueftner Cruises has ordered the 10th river cruise vessel (110 meter) from De Hoop. This is a special occasion as the total length of ships ordered by Lueftner now passes the kilometer-milestone. During this long relationship between De Hoop and Lueftner Reisen a successful cruising concept has been developed. The new vessel will have a quite a few new design-features and with this shall be tailored to tomorrows demands in the cruising market. |

| Don Daniel departs for Mexico Rotterdam, 4/09/2011 - The 105 meter diving support vessel Don Daniel, De Hoop's yardnumber 429 has departed for Mexico. After the works finished at Shipdock Amsterdam, the vessel sailed to Schiedam where she picked up the 300 tons Huisman crane which was fitted in one and a half day. Upon arrival in Mexico the vessel shall start her first 5 year contract for the Mexican oil company Pemex. |

| Don Daniel starts seatrials Rotterdam, 22/08/2011 - With the giant seahorse painted on the side the Don Daniel got quite some attention during her sail from IJsselmonde to the Europoort yesterday. Today this 105 meter Diving Support Vessel has started her seatrial programm. After this the vessel shall sail to Amsterdam where some final works shall be done whereafter the vessel shall be delivered. |

| Caballo Galiceno out of dock Harlingen, 19/08/2011 - The Caballo Galiceno, our yard number 435, has re-entered the water after her new sponsoons have been fitted. This special job has been completed with the assistance of Pars Navis and Shipdock Harlingen and with this the deadweight of the vessel is now upgraded to over 2500 tons. Furthermore the DP I system was upgraded to DP II with the help of Alphatron, Eekels and several other companies. The vessel shall now start her new commissioning and official seatrials shall be done thereafter. |

| Don Daniel arrives in Rotterdam Rotterdam, 13/08/2011 -Yesterday, Saturday the 12th August, the 105 meter Diving Support Vessel "Don Daniel" arrived at De Hoop's fitting out quay in Rotterdam. Today the wheelhouse, funnel/boomrest and lifeboats where lifted on again. These items where taken off so the vessel could pass the bridges from Lobith to Rotterdam. |

| Engineering contract from Topaz Marine Tolkamer, 19/07/2011 - Shipyard De Hoop has this week received an engineering contract for the conversion of the Team Oman. This cable layer, formerly known as the Seaspider was build at De Hoop under yard number 373 in 1999 and has since several years been owned by Topaz Marine with their headoffice based in Dubai. For a job in the North Sea, the vessel will undergo various changes such as the installation of extra bow thrusters, cranes, etc. De Hoop shall initially provide the conceptual engineering for this. |

| New order - SBBA for Global Marine Systems Tolkamer, 08/07/2011 - The United Kingdom based cable lay company Global Marine Systems has ordered a Single Block Accomocation Barge (SBBA) for 60 persons. This special accomodation block will be completely self sustaining with its own generators, watermakers, etc. The four deck accomodation will contain offices, galley, dayroom, messroom and people will be accomodated in single and two person cabins. The delivery is scheduled for Januari on which the block will be placed on the barge Smit Anambas, which is being converted into a cabla lay vessel. |

| Special upgrades for YN 434/YN 435 Harlingen, 21/06/2011 - Shipyard De Hoop has received a special variation order for two of their newbuild vessels. This is due to a new large contract which their client have recently secured for these vessels. First of all the names where changed vice versa, which means that yardnumber 434 is now called Don Alfonso (formerly known as Caballo Galiceno) and YN 435 is called Caballo Galiceno (formerly known as Don Alfonso). Furthermore, both vessels shall be upgraded to DPII and with the fitting of tailor made sponsoons the deadweight shall be upgraded to 2450 tons. The Don Alfonso is already in dock at Shipdock Harlingen to undergo these changes and additions. It is expected that the same changes shall be ordered for two KISS suppliers YN 432 Caballo Xanthus and 433 Caballo Genitor. | World strongest men visit Lobith-Tolkamer Saturday, 18/06/2011 - On this rainy Saturday, the half finale of the Strongmen Competition was held in Lobith-Tolkamer. The yard, as one of the key-sponsors, developed some special anchors which the world strongest men had to tow accross the quay. | Amadeus Brilliant delivered Tolkamer, 27/04/2011 - Today was a special event as Amadeus Brilliant was delivered, christened and started her maiden trip with guests in the same day. Crew, invited guests, first passengers and shipyard personell all whitnessed the christening of this 9th vessel for Lueftner Reisen. In her speach, the godmother mrs. Corina Lueftner especially thanked the shipyard personell, subcontractors and suppliers for the beautifull endresult. | Large crane renovation at De Hoop Lobith Tolkamer, 08/04/2011 - It is an unusual sight, for the first time in 54 years the large boom of one of the three main shipbuilding cranes of De Hoop Lobith is lifted of for a major overhaul. This lift is part of a complete crane renovation programm whereby the crane structures are renovated and key equipment and rails are renewed. The project is planned to be finished in July this year. At this moment, more than 50% of all the sections are assembled on the slipway in Lobith-Tolkamer. This special daypassenger vessel is developed for groups up to 1000 people and the innovative design is already getting quite some attention in the media. The construction period is tight as the vessel is already booked for jobs in the second quarter of this year. | Two special hulls under construction in Lobith Tolkamer, 1/12/2010 - On a snowy slipway in Lobith-Tolkamer, two special hulls are nearing readiness to be launched. On the back, 105 meter hull 'Don Daniel' is the 3rd Diving Support Vessel with 250 persons accomodation for Oceanografia. | Amado Daniel departs from yard Tolkamer, 22/01/2010 - This morning, at 4:00 AM the 105 meter diving support vessel "Amado Daniel" has left the yard in Tolkamer to go to Rotterdam. As many larger ships build on this yard, it was this time also necessary to take of the wheelhouse so the vessel would be able to pass the bridges. The vessel now goes to our fitting out quay in Rotterdam where it will undergo the final stages of the build, before going to seatrials. |

| Second conversion for Wagenborg/Chevalier Floatels delivered Tolkamer 16/07/2009 - The second conversion after Debussy, the converted 110 meter "Ravel", was delevered today. This time the conversion included a full 'winterization' of the vessel. With this the vessel is suitable for the harsh conditions of the northern region of the Caspian Sea, where temperatures can drop to minus 40 degrees. The works included extra facilities and systems an ice-belt all around which makes the hull "ice-class 1B". |

| DSV Niiagata yard in full production Niigata, 06/07/2009 - A 70 meter Diving Support Vessel is currently in full production on the Niigata shipyard in Japan. The vessel is being build for Dutch shipowner Hanzevast and has been engineered by De Hoop. Furthermore, De Hoop has supplied most equipment for this hi-tech vessel. Niigata shipyard (a subsidairy of the large Mitsui corporation) has a good reputation in the build of all kind of vessels. The interfirm cooperation with De Hoop started on this project when Noordhoek Offshore did an enquiry for a newbuild DSV with De Hoop. Due to a full orderbook, De Hoop has come to an agreement with Hanzevast and Niigata to build this vessel in Japan. The vessel called "Noordhoek Constructor" is ordered by Hanzevast Shipping and shall be chartered out to Noordhoek Offshore for works in the North Sea. | New KISS design for a PSV Tolkamer 15/6/2009 - Shipyard De Hoop has, over the last half year, developed a completely new design for a 67 meter platform supply vessel. The "KISS" design is De Hoop's answer to the developments in recent years whereby more and more expensive vessels where delevoped for in fact the simple tasks which most supply vessels do. The KISS design goes more back to the basics, but using modern techniques it shall outperform most in this class. The developed hull shape has a 20% lower wave resistance (so it can do the same with less power and fuel costs) and has 30% more tank capacity than its nearest competitors. Currently De Hoop has several requests for such vessels and also the vessels 432, 433, 434 and 435 (on order by Oceanografia) shall be build according this design. | 3rd Conversion contracted Tolkamer 12/6/2009 - De Hoop has contracted a third conversion from an inland hull to an accomodation barge. This order is also placed by Roborg BV, an interfirm cooperation between Wagenborg and Chevalier Floatels. Again this is a special project as conversion of an empty newbuild hull for an inland container vessel, converted into a 320 person accomodation vessel, has to be delivered in less than 16 weeks from now. For this project, De Hoop has also a cooperation with "Holland Shipyards", where a sistervessel is ordered by Roborg BV for the same delivery time. |

| Conversion of two River Cruise Vessels Tolkamer 29/4/2009 - During the last few weeks De Hoop Lobith has started works for the clients Wagenborg and Chevalier Floatels, who have ordered a complete conversion of two River Cruise Vessels. The cruisers will be transformed into accomodation vessels for Kazachstan (Caspian Sea) where they shall accomodate 290 persons eacht. These 110 meter vessels, formerly known as 'Debussy' and 'Ravel' where originally build by De Hoop in 2000 and 2001.
