KEEL LAID FOR ADNOC (YN470)
Foxhol 25/06/2014 – Today, the keel was laid for the hull of the 65 meter Platform Supply Vessel for Abu Dhabi National Oil Company. The ship is part of a series of ten and boast a true “design of the future“, meeting the highest international class notations within both operational and environmental objectives. The vessels will operate in the oil and gas fields for the operating company ESNAAD, member of the ADNOC group.
FESTIVE CHRISTENING DEEP HELDER (YN465)
Tolkamer 20/06/14 – Today, Seamar Subsea BV christened the Deep Helder in Ijmuiden. Mrs Balkema led the official naming ceremony as the ships godmother, alongside Mr. Fit (advisor Seamar), Mr. Green (Deep Ocean), Mr. Balkema (CEO Seamar) and Patrick Janssens, CEO of Shipyard De Hoop, responsible for designing and building the new vessel. The Deep Helder has been delivered 10 days before the official delivery date and will immediately go into contract at Deep Ocean.
KEEL LAID FOR LUEFTNER REISEN (YN 461)
Tolkamer 16/06/14 – Today, the keel was laid for the hull of the 135 meter River Cruise Vessel for Lueftner Reisen. The ship will have a new design, based on the successful development of the Amadeus Silver, yard number 452. The new order is the 11th order from Lueftner Reisen at Shipyard De Hoop. The vessel is scheduled for delivery April 2015.
DEEP HELDER SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETED SEA TRIALS
Foxhol13/06/14 – Deep Helder (YN465) has successfully completed its sea trials. We are very pleased with the performance of this ship. Both the DP behaviour as well as the sailing-speed are exceeding the (calculated) expectations. The special Comfort Class criteria for noise and vibrations and in general for the comfort on board were easily met and the operations and performance of the crane where in full compliance. Coming Friday, the festive christening of the vessel will take place in Ijmuiden.
DEEP HELDER STARTS SEATRIALS
Foxhol 02/06/14 – Today, the 65 metre Multipurpose Offshore Vessel, Deep Helder, has departed our Foxhol yard in the direction of Delfzijl. During the week, the sea trial program will take place at the Waddenzee. After sea trials, some final work will be done before the vessel will be delivered to Seamar Subsea BV, for the christening ceremony on the 20th of June in IJmuiden.
FIFTH HULL FSIV SUCCESSFULLY LAUNCHED
Tolkamer 16/05/14 – Today the fifth Fast Supply Intervention Vessel for PEMEX (YN459) was launched. The hull was successfully launched in Rotterdam, whereby the tugboat was waiting to tow her to the yard in Lobith / Tolkamer, where she will be completed. This ship is part of a series of seven, whereby five vessels will be completed this summer.
DE HOOP DELIVERS EMERALD STAR (464)
Tolkamer 15/05/2014 – Today, the 135 metre cruise vessel Emerald Star has been delivered to the Australian client Emerald Waterways. The vessel features 91 cabins and has capacity to host a total of 182 passengers. The Emerald Star has been outfitted with large luxury suites most of which include a balcony. This up market cruise concept debut a revolutionary mid-level 6x4m pool with a bar, located in a multi-functional area at the rear of the ship. By night this area will convert to a cinema with seating for over 30 people.
FOURTH HULL FSIV SUCCESSFULLY LAUNCHED
Tolkamer 08/05/2014 – Today the fourth Fast Supply Intervention Vessel for PEMEX (YN458) was launched. The hull was successfully launched at Pattje in Waterhuizen, whereby the tugboat was waiting to tow her to the yard in Foxhol, where she will be completed. This ship is part of a series of seven, whereby five vessels will be completed before the end of July 2014.
EMERALD STAR SUCCESSFULL ON RIVER TRIALS
Tolkamer 07/05/2014 – Today at 14.00 hours the 135 meter river cruise vessel Emerald Star, our yard number 464, has successfully completed her official river trials. In the next few days the vessel shall be completed for her delivery.
DE HOOP DELIVERS SCENIC GEM (463)
Tolkamer 30/04/2014 – Today, the 110 metre cruise vessel Scenic Gem has been delivered to the Australian client Scenic Cruises. The vessel features 65 cabins with a capacity to host a total of 130 passengers. The Scenic Gem is specifically built to sail the waters of the river Seine up to Honfleur. The design follows in the style and interior standard of the five-star Scenic Tours fleet, has many luxury features and set a new standard on the river Seine.
START PRODUCTION YN470 ADNOC
Tolkamer 05/05/2014 – Today Shipyard De Hoop started the production of the first Platform Supply Vessel for Abu Dhabi National Oil Company. The ship (65 x 15,8 m) is part of a series of ten and boast a true “design of the future”, meeting the highest international class notations within both operational and environmental objectives. The vessels will operate in the oil and gas fields for the operating company ESNAAD, member of the ADNOC group. Delivery is scheduled within 2015 and 2016.
HULL CONSTRUCTION DELTA ADMIRAL IN PROGRESS
Tolkamer 28/04/2104 – The hull construction of the Delta Admiral (YN460), a 70 metre PSV for Delta Logistics, is in full swing. The deep-water capable vessel will operate in the offshore fields near Trinidad and Tobago in the Caribbean Sea. The launch is scheduled for July and the delivery for the third quarter of 2014.
PRODUCTION OF YN 450 IN FULL SWING
Tolkamer 28/04/2014 – The hull construction of the newly designed OSV for Awaritse Nigeria Limited (ANL) is in full progress on our Lobith yard. The 68.23 x 15.77 metre vessel is designed to operate in the Chevron offshore oil fields near Nigeria. Delivery is scheduled for the last quarter of this year.
FESTIVE LAUNCH OF DEEP HELDER (YN465)
Foxhol, 23/04/2014 – Today, at 1PM, the Deep Helder was successfully launched at our Foxhol yard. During the launch, a Shanty choir was singing sailor songs, while guest were looking at the spectacle and enjoying some nice food and drinks. The 65 metre Multipurpose Offshore Vessel of SeaMar Subsea BV is custom designed to stringent environmental control and high comfort class notation. The vessel is scheduled for delivery in June 2014.
SCENIC GEM PERFORMED TRIALS SUCCESSFULLY

CHRISTENING OF EMERALD SKY
Tolkamer 09/04/2014 – Emerald Waterways christened the Emerald Sky today in Amsterdam. British style icon, Twiggy, led the official naming ceremony, as the ships godmother, alongside the owners of Emerald Waterways Glenn and Karen Moroney, Captain Stamen Dimitrov and Patrick Janssens, CEO of Shipyard De Hoop, responsible for designing and building the new vessel. Immediately after the ceremony, the vessel went straight into service and will operate for the entire season in Europe, mainly on the rivers Rhine and Danube.
ANL ORDERED NEW INTERMIX/TRANSMIX VESSEL
Tolkamer 25/03/2014 – Shipyard De Hoop is proud to announce an new order for the design and construction of an Intermix/Transmix Vessel. The contract consists of a newly designed 68.23 x 15.77metre Offshore Service/Support Vessel (OSV) for Awaritse Nigeria Limited (ANL). Designed to operate in the Chevron offshore oil fields near Nigeria, the OSV will be deployed for the discharge of Transmix liquids, a by-product of oil-production and oil-transport through pipe lines. The delivery of the OSV is scheduled for the last quarter of this year.
TWO FIRST HULLS HYBRID FSIV SUCCESSFULLY LAUNCHED
Tolkamer 14/03/14 – Shipyard De Hoop is proud to announce that the first two hulls for their newly designed hybrid FSIV (Fast Supply Intervention Vessels) have been launched. On this Thursday, the hull for YN456 was launched at Waterhuizen and will be completed at our yard in Foxhol. Today the second hull, YN455, was launched in Rotterdam, whereby the tugboat was waiting to tow her to the yard in Lobith / Tolkamer, where she will be completed. These ships are the first ones in a series of seven, whereby five vessels will be completed before the end of July 2014.
COMING WEEK LAUNCH OF HYBRID FSIV
Tolkamer 07/03/2014 – Coming week the launch is scheduled for the first two hybrid propelled Fast Supply Intervention Vessels in a series of seven. The separate ceremonies for YN455 and YN456, will be performed at the contracted section/hull builders, respectively in Rotterdam (CSR) and Waterhuizen (Pattje), The Netherlands. The vessels are designed for the combined transport of deck cargo and passengers to offshore oil fields. Custom designed by De Hoop to stringent environmental control, the hybrid diesel-electric powered 55 metre FSIV is constructed primarily for low fuel consumption. All seven vessels have remarkable short delivery times. YN455 and YN456 will be the first two ships delivered and production is continuing on full speed.
