DE HOOP LOBITH LAUNCHES ‘EMERALD SKY’ (YN462)

Tolkamer 23/09/2013 – Today, at 3PM, the Emerald Sky was successfully launched at our yard in Lobith. The luxury 135 meter River Cruise Vessel for the Australian Company Emerald Waterways shall be equipped with luxury suites including balconies, as well as a swimming pool and cinema area and is scheduled for delivery in the 1st quarter of 2014.

STEELCUTTING STARTED FOR DEEP HELDER

Tolkamer, 19/09/2013 – Today Shipyard de Hoop started the steel cutting of the  65 metre Multipurpose Offshore Support Vessel of SeaMar Subsea BV. Custom designed to stringent environmental control, the diesel electric powered vessel will be constructed for low fuel consumption, clean ship / green passport / SPS2008 and high comfort class notation, making it the first offshore vessel to be built in the Netherlands to this specification. The vessel is scheduled for delivery in Q2 2014.

KEEL LAID FOR YARD NUMBER 463

Tolkamer, 10/09/2013 – Today the keel was laid for the hull of the 110 meter river cruise vessel of Scenic Tours (Scenic Cruises – Australia), YN 463, at our yard in Lobith. The vessel will have many luxury features and is set to be a new standard on the river Seine. Delivery is scheduled for the first half of 2014.

Tolkamer 02/07/2013 – Today Shipyard de Hoop started the steel cutting of the 110 meter River Cruise Vessel of Scenic Tours (Scenic Cruises – Australia). The vessel will sail on the river Seine (France) up to Honfleur. There are some special requirements for the vessel, for which De Hoop has produced a completely new design, following in the style and interior standard of the five-star Scenic Tours fleet. The vessel will have many luxury features and is set to be a new standard on the river Seine. Delivery is scheduled for the first half of 2014.

KEEL LAID FOR YARD NUMBER 464

Foxhol 27/05/2013 – Today the keel was laid for the hull of the 135 meter river cruise vessel, YN 464, at our yard in Foxhol. This three decks river cruise vessel is under construction for the Australian client “Riva Waterways”. The vessel shall be built as a sister vessel of the YN 462, which is under construction at our yard at Lobith-Tolkamer. Both vessels are scheduled for delivery for the season of next year.

YN-462 WELL ON IT’S WAY

Tolkamer 21/05/2013 – Yard number 462, the new built vessel for Riva Waterways, is well on its way. Nearly half of the sections has been assembled on our slipway in Lobith. The launch of the vessel has been scheduled well before the end of the year. Recently, our yard in Foxhol has also been started with the assembly of the sections of the sister vessel of YN-462, yard number 464.

CHRISTENING OF AMADEUS SILVER

Tolkamer 12/04/2013 – Lueftner Cruises christened the Amadeus Silver today in Amsterdam as the newest addition to their cruising fleet of 11 vessels. Hereby, De Hoop realised a milestone in their ambition of producing more than one kilometre of ships for this customer. Immediately after the ceremony the vessel went straight into service and will operate for the entire season in Europe, mainly on the rivers Rhine and Danube.

SEAMAR ORDERS MULTIPURPOSE OSV

Tolkamer 26/3/13 – SeaMar Subsea BV has entered into a contract with Shipyard De Hoop for the construction of a Multipurpose Offshore Support Vessel. Custom designed to stringent environmental control, the diesel electric powered 65metre vessel will be constructed for low fuel consumption, clean ship / green passport / SPS2008 and high comfort class notation, making it the first offshore vessel to be built in the Netherlands to this specification. The vessel shall be constructed under yard number 465 and is scheduled for delivery in Q2 2014.

KEEL LAYING OF RIVA ROYALE

Tolkamer 19/3/2013 – Today the keel was laid for YN462 – Riva Royale. On behalf of client Riva Waterways, Mr. Glen Moroney, founder and CEO, did put the traditional coin below the first section. The vessel shall be assembled at our yard in Lobith-Tolkamer and is scheduled to be launched well before the end of the year.

CHRISTENING OF MS RIVER SPLENDOR

Tolkamer 14/03/2013 – Vantage Deluxe World Travel christened the ms River Splendor today in Antwerp as the newest addition to its growing European river cruising fleet. Miss Belgium Noémie Happart led the official naming ceremony as the ships godmother alongside Vantage COO Kevin Wallace; Roger Spoor, Captain of the ms River Splendor and Patrick Janssens, CEO of Shipyard De Hoop, responsible for designing and building the new ms River Splendor. The new ship will make its inaugural voyage on March 17th from Amsterdam.

RIVER VENTURE DELIVERED

Tolkamer 11/03/2013 – Shipyard De Hoop delivered today the 110 meter / 3-decks river cruise vessel ‘River Venture’. The inauguration of the vessel will take place on the 26th March, after which she will go straight into service on her maiden voyage. The River Venture has a new design and is the sister vessel of the River Discovery II (135 meter) and the recently delivered River Splendor (135 meter).

SECOND ORDER RIVA WATERWAYS

Tolkamer 06/03/2013 – Shipyard De Hoop is proud to announce that they received a second order for a 135 river cruise vessel from Riva Waterways, the new brand under the Australian company Scenic Tours. The vessel shall be build under yard number 464 and is scheduled for delivery in 2014. This vessel shall be a sister vessel of the earlier contracted yard number 462.

RIVER SPLENDOR DELIVERED TO VANTAGE TRAVEL

Tolkamer, 26/02/2013 – Today Shipyard De Hoop has successfully delivered the River Splendor. The 135 meter River Cruise Vessel ‘River Splendor’ is the second vessel of a three ship new build program of Vantage Travel from Boston (two 135 meter vessels and one 110 meter vessel). The concept, behind this series of vessels and the luxury cruise vessels that De Hoop delivered last year, has turned out to be very successful for Vantage Travel. Compared to her sister vessel, River Discovery II, the River Splendor has enhanced dining areas and a larger foredeck (outside) area. The naming ceremony for the River Splendor is to take place on the14th March after which she will go straight into service on her maiden voyage.

RIVER VENTURE PERFORMS TRIALS SUCCESSFULLY

Tolkamer 25/01/2013 – The 110 meter river cruise vessel “River Venture” has performed very well during her initial river trials. The trials were executed on the river Rhine and within almost 4 hours the complete trial program was concluded. The River Venture is under construction for Vantage Travel and is to be delivered in March.

NEW ORDER FROM SCENIC TOURS (SCENIC CRUISES)

Tolkamer 17/01/2013 – Shipyard De Hoop has received another order from Australia. This time Scenic Tours have placed an order for a 110 meter River Cruise Vessel, suitable for the river Seine (France) up to Honfleur. MANY SHIPS AT DE HOOP SHIPREPAIR

Tolkamer 15/01/2013 – These are busy times for De Hoop Shiprepair. The cruising market is developing strongly and De Hoop has expanded its repair and service facilities to accommodate this. Services vary from maintenance and repair works to complete conversions or installing new equipment such as engines, thrusters or sewage treatment systems and water makers. This year a series of vessels are berthed at the yard for this reason, these include the River Discovery II, River Navigator, Bizet, River Melody, River Harmony, River Rhapsody en River Concerto as well as the Amadeus Symphony, Amadeus Classic, Amadeus Princess, Amadeus Diamond, Amadeus Elegant and Amadeus Brilliant.

FIRST HULLS HYBRID FSIV WELL ON THEIR WAY

Tolkamer 10/01/2013 – The first hulls YN455 and YN456, are well on their way. The first two hulls are part of an order of 7 Hybrid FSV (YN453 – YN459). Steel hulls of YN453, YN455, YN457 and YN459 are built in Rotterdam at C.S.R. and will be finished at Shipyard De Hoop Lobith. Steel hulls of YN454, YN456 and YN458 are produced at Pattje in Waterhuizen and will be further developed at Shipyard De Hoop Foxhol. All 7 vessels have remarkable short delivery times. Delivery of YN455 and YN456 is scheduled for Q2 2014.

YN-463 SCENIC GEM SUCCESSFULLY LAUNCHED

Tolkamer 31/12/12 – At the last day of the year, at exactly 10 am, the 110 meter hull of the Scenic Gem was successfully launched at the yard in Lobith-Tolkamer. The vessel is built for our Australian client Scenic Cruises, has many luxury features and is set to be a new standard on the river Seine. Delivery is scheduled for the first half of 2014.

NEW ORDER FROM RIVA WATERWAYS

Tolkamer 19/12/2012 – Shipyard De Hoop is proud to announce another new build order. This time an Australian company Riva Waterways, new to Shipyard De Hoop, has ordered a luxury 135 meter River Cruise Vessel, scheduled for delivery in the 1st quarter 2014. The vessel shall be equipped with luxury suites including balconies, as well as a swimming pool and cinema area. Shipyard De Hoop welcomes this new client and looks forward to developing a great vessel and on-going relationship.

NEW ORDER FROM LUEFTNER REISEN (YN 461)

Tolkamer 12/12/2012 – De Hoop has, once again, signed a new build contract with Lueftner Reisen. This time it will be a very special 110 meter River Cruise Vessel, a new design based on the successful development of the Amadeus Silver, yard number 452. Amadeus Silver is currently nearing completion at the yard in Foxhol and will soon commence her river trials. The new order is the 11th order from Lueftner Reisen at Shipyard De Hoop. The vessel is scheduled for delivery in the first half of 2014.
