DE HOOP LOBITH LAUNCHES ‘EMERALD SKY’ (YN462)

Tolkamer 23/09/2013 – Today, at 3PM, the Emerald Sky was successfully launched at our yard in Lobith. The luxury 135 meter River Cruise Vessel for the Australian Company Emerald Waterways shall be equipped with luxury suites including balconies, as well as a swimming pool and cinema area and is scheduled for delivery in the 1st quarter of 2014.

STEELCUTTING STARTED FOR DEEP HELDER

Tolkamer, 19/09/2013 – Today Shipyard de Hoop started the steel cutting of the  65 metre Multipurpose Offshore Support Vessel of SeaMar Subsea BV. Custom designed to stringent environmental control, the diesel electric powered vessel will be constructed for low fuel consumption, clean ship / green passport / SPS2008 and high comfort class notation, making it the first offshore vessel to be built in the Netherlands to this specification. The vessel is scheduled for delivery in Q2 2014.

KEEL LAID FOR YARD NUMBER 463

Tolkamer, 10/09/2013 – Today the keel was laid for the hull of the 110 meter river cruise vessel of Scenic Tours (Scenic Cruises – Australia), YN 463, at our yard in Lobith. The vessel will have many luxury features and is set to be a new standard on the river Seine. Delivery is scheduled for the first half of 2014.

STEEL CUTTING YN463 SCENIC TOURS

Tolkamer 02/07/2013 – Today Shipyard de Hoop started the steel cutting of the 110 meter River Cruise Vessel of Scenic Tours (Scenic Cruises – Australia). The vessel will sail on the river Seine (France) up to Honfleur. There are some special requirements for the vessel, for which De Hoop has produced a completely new design, following in the style and interior standard of the five-star Scenic Tours fleet. The vessel will have many luxury features and is set to be a new standard on the river Seine. Delivery is scheduled for the first half of 2014.

KEEL LAID FOR YARD NUMBER 464

Foxhol 27/05/2013 – Today the keel was laid for the hull of the 135 meter river cruise vessel, YN 464, at our yard in Foxhol. This three decks river cruise vessel is under construction for the Australian client “Riva Waterways”. The vessel shall be built as a sister vessel of the YN 462, which is under construction at our yard at Lobith-Tolkamer. Both vessels are scheduled for delivery for the season of next year.

YN-462 WELL ON IT’S WAY

Tolkamer 21/05/2013 – Yard number 462, the new built vessel for Riva Waterways, is well on its way. Nearly half of the sections has been assembled on our slipway in Lobith. The launch of the vessel has been scheduled well before the end of the year. Recently, our yard in Foxhol has also been started with the assembly of the sections of the sister vessel of YN-462, yard number 464.

CHRISTENING OF AMADEUS SILVER

Tolkamer 12/04/2013 – Lueftner Cruises christened the Amadeus Silver today in Amsterdam as the newest addition to their cruising fleet of 11 vessels. Hereby, De Hoop realised a milestone in their ambition of producing more than one kilometre of ships for this customer. Immediately after the ceremony the vessel went straight into service and will operate for the entire season in Europe, mainly on the rivers Rhine and Danube.

SEAMAR ORDERS MULTIPURPOSE OSV

Tolkamer 26/3/13 – SeaMar Subsea BV has entered into a contract with Shipyard De Hoop for the construction of a Multipurpose Offshore Support Vessel. Custom designed to stringent environmental control, the diesel electric powered 65metre vessel will be constructed for low fuel consumption, clean ship / green passport / SPS2008 and high comfort class notation, making it the first offshore vessel to be built in the Netherlands to this specification. The vessel shall be constructed under yard number 465 and is scheduled for delivery in Q2 2014.

KEEL LAYING OF RIVA ROYALE

Tolkamer 19/3/2013 – Today the keel was laid for YN462 – Riva Royale. On behalf of client Riva Waterways, Mr. Glen Moroney, founder and CEO, did put the traditional coin below the first section. The vessel shall be assembled at our yard in Lobith-Tolkamer and is scheduled to be launched well before the end of the year.

CHRISTENING OF MS RIVER SPLENDOR

Tolkamer 14/03/2013 – Vantage Deluxe World Travel christened the ms River Splendor today in Antwerp as the newest addition to its growing European river cruising fleet. Miss Belgium Noémie Happart led the official naming ceremony as the ships godmother alongside Vantage COO Kevin Wallace; Roger Spoor, Captain of the ms River Splendor and Patrick Janssens, CEO of Shipyard De Hoop, responsible for designing and building the new ms River Splendor. The new ship will make its inaugural voyage on March 17th from Amsterdam.
