    Caballo Lusitano ready for delivery
Delfzijl, 27/06/2008 - This afternoon the vessel Caballo Lusitano has succesfully finished her seatrials. The vessel is now ready for delivery.
 
 
 
    Caballo Lusitano leaves Foxhol yard
Foxhol, 23/06/2008 - The offshore vessel Yardnumber 426, Caballo Lusitano was succesfully transported from the yard to Delfzijl. Starting from tomorrow, the vessel shall commence with her seatrial program.
 
 
 
    Succesfull launch of the Caballo Lusitano
Foxhol 31/05/2008 - On this beautiful Saturday morning at 10:30, our yard number 426, the supplier 'Caballo Lusitano', was successfully launched.     SEVEN NEW CONTRACTS!
Tolkamer 23/05/2008 - Shipyard de Hoop has contracted seven additional vessels; 6 Offshore Support Vessels (60 x 12.8 mtr)and a Diving Support Vessel of 70 x 18 mtrs. The vessels shall be delivered during 2009, 2010 and 2011. With this the yard is now working on 12 shipbuilding contracts (and two large engineering contracts) in total.

    YN 426 - Caballo Lusitano outside
Foxhol 5/5/2008 - Today the first complete vessel, since the takeover of the yard in Foxhol, has been transported out of the shipbuilding hall. The crew in Foxhol has done a wonderful job to assemble this sophisticated vessel in less than eight months.
 
 
 
    De Hoop contracts engineering assignment
Tolkamer 18/04/2008 - Shipyard de Hoop has acquired an assignment to develop a Diving Support Vessel for Niigata Shipyards in Japan, who in their turn shall build this vessel for Dutch shipowner Noordhoek Offshore BV. Delivery is planned in 2009. Besides engineering De Hoop 'shall also supply a large amount of the ship's components and installations.
 
 
 
    Coming out of 'Caballo Lusitano'
Foxhol, 18/03/2008 - Today the supply vessel with hull number 426, Caballo Lusitano, came out of the shipbuilding hall in Foxhol. The assembly of the hull is now progressed quite far and launching is planned around the end of May.
 
 
 
    Steelcutting of YN 425 started
Tolkamer, 10/03/2008 - This Monday, the first plate of steel for Yardnumber 425, the second 1055 mtr DSV, has started. The production is in 'full swing' on both DSV's. The hull of the first DSV shall be halfway in the second half of April.
 
 
 
    The future of shipbuilding?

    3th DSV Contracted!
Tolkamer 21/02/2008 - This week, the contract for Yard Number 429 has become effective. With this, De Hoop contracts a third 105 mtr. Diving Support Vessel such as YN 424/425 (see earlier news). The vessel shall be build at the Lobith yard and is scheduled for delivery in the second half of 2010.
 
 
 
    Cruise Vessel service station
Tolkamer 12/02/08 - These are busy times for De Hoop as this year more than 14 River Cruise Vessels visit the yard. The Vessels all have maintenance and repair works done and some of them do quite extensive upgrading. All vessels currently visiting the yard are also initially build by the Hoop and we are proud to see them back again. Click on the PDF file for an enlaged picture.

    Caballo Criollo flagged by the Mexican Ambassador
Rotterdam 29/1/2008 - The official flagging ceremony of the 'Caballo Criollo' was performed by the Mexican Ambassador who was "honored to flag such a nice vessel". The Criollo is now ready to depart to Mexico. More photo's can be found under "read PDF file".

    Spectacular sidelaunch in Foxhol
Foxhol 18/12/2007 - Today at 14:00 hrs, the foreship, build for Volharding was sucessfully launched. Another delivery is completed.

    YN 423 Caballo Criollo launched
Tolkamer 18/11/2007 - Today at 10:30 the Caballo Criollo was launched from the slipway in Tolkamer. The vessel is well on its way and shall now be outfitted further in our harbour. The first section blocks of the next vessel, Yard number 424, are already on the slipway.
 
 
 
    Shipyard De Hoop attends Workboat Show
Tolkamer, 16/11/07 - From 28-30 November, the yearly International Workboat Show in New Orleans will take place. This year more than 1,000 exhibitors will display products and services for commercial vessels and the companies that build, service and operate them. De Hoop shall also be present. Foxhol, 8/10/2007 - Today de Hoop Foxhol has launched a large section block. These works are part of the remaining works for Volharding.
 
 
 
    Keellaying YN 424 - "Don Amado"
Tolkamer 5/10/2007 - On this day the keel of the 105 x 24 mtr. Diving Support Vessel "Don Amado" has been laid. In the next half year many following sections of this vessel shall fill our slipway. Please look at the PDF file for an enlarged photo.

Tolkamer 5/10/2007 - Yard number 423, the Offshore Support Vessel "Caballo Criollo" is currently well on its way. Most of the sections have been placed and assembled on the slipway in Tolkamer.
 
 
 
    De Hoop delivers 'Bourbon Trieste'
Thursday, 27th Sept. '07 - Today shipyard De Hoop has delivered the 85 mtr. Bourbon Trieste. This Multi Purpose Offshore Service Vessel shall now set sail for her first job in Egypt.

    Start steelcutting of YN 426
Foxhol 7th Sept. 2007 - With the 'start steelcutting' of yardnumber 426 on our new cutting machine, the first "De Hoop" newbuild has started in Foxhol.
 
 
 
    YN 424 in full production

    100 tons Crane on YN 422
Rotterdam 30/08/2007 - Today the large 100 tons deepsea crane from Natoil was placed on the Bourbon Trieste, in the next few weeks the vessel shall perform her trial program.
 
 
 
    Keellaying YN 423 Caballo Criollo
Tolkamer, 8th June 2007 - The keellaying of YN 423 has been performed. Already various sections are under production. Caballo Criollo is a 62 mtr. Offshore Support Vessel.
 
 
 
    Bourbon Trieste Launched
Tolkamer, 3th June 2007 - Today yard number 422, the Multi Purpose Offshore Service Vessel (MPSV) Bourbon Trieste was succesfully launched. Another milestone in this newbuild programm has been reached.

De Hoop is looking for future shipbuilders. In Lobith we operate our own school for many years now. During a two year course we train young people to become professional shipbuilders.     Takeover of Foxhol yard
April 2007 - De Hoop and Volharding Shipyards have reached a final agreement concerning the takeover the yard in Foxhol. The said yard is a welcome addition and enables De Hoop to boost capacity for shipbuilding in the Netherlands. From the 6th August 2007 onwards Scheepswerf De Hoop Foxhol BV shall start production at this location in Groningen, The Netherlands. (look at the PDF file for an enlarged photo)

    New Orders
April 23, 2007 - Today, De Hoop has hoisted two more flags, which means the orders for Yard number 425 (a sister vessel of YN 424, a 105 mtr. DSV) and Yard Number 426 (a 62 mtr. OSV) are announced.

    River Discovery delivered.
8-3-2007 - Today Shipyard De Hoop has succesfully delivered the 125 mtr. vessel River Discovery. This vessel is the second one with the cadillac bow and the fourth vessel built for Vantage Travel. CLick on "see PDF file" for an enlarged photo.

    De Hoop contracts newbuild YN 424
We are proud to announce another yard number. This 105 x 24 mtr. Diving Support Vessel shall be build for the Mexican shipowner Oceanografia. The vessel shall have accomodation for 250 people and shall be equipped with a 300 ton crane.
 
 
 
    PRINCESS in the news
Since her delivery, the Amadeus Princess has had quite some publicity. The vessel was recently in the "Schip & Werf" and this month she features in the "Cruise and Ferry". Look at the PDF-file to view this article.

    YN 419/420 ISKANDER and ALPAMYS delivered
Rotterdam 25-07-2006, Today the ice class tugboats ISKANDER and ALPAMYS where delivered succesfully. Both Yard and Shipowner are proud of the result and look back on a succesful build period. The vessels will soon head for Kazachstan.
 
 
 
    Flag hoisting for YN 423
Tolkamer 7 July 2006 - With the flag hoisting ceremony, Shipyard De Hoop has started the works on the new Mexican order.
 
 
 
    Yard Trials for ISKANDER
Today, 4th July 2006, the first tugboat YN 419, called ISKANDER for Kazachstan successfully completed her trials.

Tolkamer 2/6/2006 - Today the steelcutting of yard number 422, the MPSV for Groupe Bourbon has started.

The production of yard number 421 is on full swing. The keellaying took place on last month, 12th May, and now on the 1st June already 9 sections are assembled.

Monday 8-5-2006 - In a record time of less than 4 weeks (!) after keellaying, the ICE class push/tugboat YN420 is now ready for launch.
 
 
 
    Newbuild for BOURBON
May 2006 - Shipyard De Hoop is proud to announce that BOURBON has ordered a new 85 m. Multi Purpose Offshore Supplier (MPSV). The vessel will have accomodation for 70 people, a 100 ton crane and will be build under yard number 422.
 
 
 
    Keellaying ceremony YN 420
Monday 10-04-2006 - Today the keel of the shallow draft push/tugboat Alpamys (YN 420) was laid. Another milestone in this project has been reached.
 
 
 
    YN 419 Launched
3th April 2006 - Shipyard De Hoop is on full swing. Recently the keel was laid of the shallow draft push/tug YN 419, this week, the hull was launched.
 
 
 
    NB411 - Amadeus Princess delivered
Tolkamer 14th March 2006 - Today, De Hoop has delivered the vessel with the innovative "Cadillac bow" to her client Lueftner Reisen.
 
 
 
    Keel YN 419 is laid
On wednesday the 22nd February the first section of YN 419 was placed on the slipway.
 
 
 
    Order for 125m River Cruiser
Lobith 23-12-2005, today the American shipowner Vantage Travel has ordered a 125m River Cruiser, to be delivered in March 2007. With this order, Vantage again shows her confidence in Shipyard De Hoop.
 
 
 
    Amadeus Princess Launched
Thursday 8 Dec. 05 - Today the vessel "Amadeus Princess" with yardnumber 411 was launched. For the first time spectators could see the innovative "Cadillac" bow in the water. With this bow, the vessel has approximately 10% more effective space inside.
 
 
 
    Two new orders YN 419 and 420
December 2005 - Shipyard De Hoop has contracted two shallow draft tugboats for the Caspian Sea.
 
 
 
    YN 402 nominated for 'Ship of the Year'
Tuesday 14th of June' 05, Shipyard De Hoop recieved from the KNVTS the official nomination of the most innovative ship of the year 2004. This for the 'Breuil' YN 402 (hence also for sistership YN 403 'Brion') both developed for the transport of components for the new Airbus A380 airplane.
 
 
 
    New Order for River Cruiser
April 2005 - A new order (YN 411) was placed on the day of the delivery of the Amadeus Royal. With this new order, client Lueftner Reisen again shows her confidence in our yard!
 
 
 
    Engineering 1700 TEU
April 2005 - De Hoop has sold an engineering package for 1700 TEU open top containerships to Wagenborg Shipping who intends to build a series of these Vessels. The dutch IHC group (Kinderdijk) is selected to build the first vessel.
 
 
 
    Christening YN 408
The passenger ship Amadeus Royal (YN 408)was christened at the yard in Lobith, on Thursday the 24th of March 2005, in the week thereafter it sucessfully left on its maiden-voyage with 150 passengers.
 
 
 
    De Hoop delivers the 'Brion'
Today, 22-11-2004 Shipyard De Hoop has successfully delivered the vessel Brion (newbuilding 403) to the organisation SOCATRA. The semi-sub Brion is designed with adjustable cargo-decks to carry large aircraft components across the French coast and inland waters and can cope with shallow waters as well as low bridges.
 
 
 
    Worldpremiere on the Rheinenergie
The catamaran theatre-ship Rheinenergie (Yardnumber 404) was built for the German operator Koln-Dusseldorfer and was delivered in June this year. On 21 Oktober 2004, this theatre ship has succesfully launched its first big show "Ganymee on Water" (more information on www.ganymee.com)
 
 
 
    Celia Candies
Newbuilding 137 / Celia Candies , which is currently built at our location in Houma, is nearing its transverse launching.
 
 
 
    Vissolela
The multi purpose supplier 'Vissolela' (yard number 393) has been delivered on June 30th 2004 in Rotterdam. The vessel has already started her activities in the oil fields of Angola, Africa.
 
 
 
    Algarve Cruiser
This cruise vessel is designed for coastal areas as well as inland water and is currently under construction at Scheepswerf De Hoop. For more information please contact us.
